German term

Vorzugsbehandlung

Non-PRO German to English Bus/Financial General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
I'm not sure "preferential" fits in this context as there is some repetition. However, I came up with "preferential treatment"
"Die Direktion hat ihren Sitz im 15-ten Stockwerk und hätte in eurem Konzept am liebsten eine Vorzugsbehandlung."

Trinh Do (asker) May 15, 2009:
Please post your answers I'm saying this so that you can get some points. I feel bad not giving points.
Inge Meinzer May 15, 2009:
how about ...storey and would be most appreciative of preferential treatment in your concept
Trinh Do (asker) May 15, 2009:
I want a translation with better flow. My translation is like this :
"The head office is located on the 15th storey and would most prefer preferential treatment in your concept." Just wondering whether "benefit from" be used instead of "prefer"
Thanks.
Katharine Oden May 15, 2009:
preferential treatment OR considered to advantage ...although the second suggestion is very formal and rarely used.
BrigitteHilgner May 15, 2009:
Context would help! But spontaneously I would agree with "preferential treatment".
Inge Meinzer May 15, 2009:
Your suggestion sounds good to me. It is the phrase I would use.

considered to advantage

(less common)
Example sentence:

...expects to be considered to advantage.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Inge Meinzer : IMHO, the AT does not convey an expectation as much as a desire
