English term

plate

English to German Marketing Tourism & Travel
The special offer of airline X limits use of a special pass in the sense that "it has to be issued on X's document or *plate*".

How do I understand "plate" in this context and what is the appropriate translation? Thanks in advance for your help.

Kennungsplatte

Definition

I don't know how you understand it, of course, but here's a definition that should shed some light on the subject.

Airline Plate - A physical plate for printing tickets issued by an airline to the travel agent as a means to create valid tickets.
