Latvian term

pensija par stazu

Latvian to English Other Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs pensions
Excuse missing diacritics. It appears to be an extra payment on top of an old-age pension. It seems to mean a pension for length of service. In some form of employment maybe? What exactly is it please? Thanks, David

Additional payment for years of service

It is additional payment you get for amount of years you have been employed and paid tax. In some cases you can get it even if you have not been employed but paid taxes like new mothers who were paid by the state their taxes for a while. In Latvia it also has to be continuous time of service. For example, if you do not go back to work after having a baby and the state has finished paying your taxes your service time lapses.

Pension for insurance period

This additional payment in Latvia appears for insurance period before year 1996, for up to that moment taxes were not paid for pension funds, and therefore was assumed a fixed sum (0.70LVL) to be paid for each year of insurance.
The following link, to my regret, is only in Latvian and Russian.

supplementary payment/pension for length of service, length of service pension

Can be both an additional factor for length of service in years calculated in addition to retirement (old-age) pension or a special pension for certain professions like artists, ballet dancers retiring at a certain age before the generally accepted retirement age. Both have to be proved by so called work book or other means evidencing your service record.
