Hello cinefil-san!! (この前はお逢いできて嬉しかったです!) Although the French pronunciation would correctly be メートル（・ド・テル), we also "borrow" that name in English, however we (mistakenly) pronounce it メトラディ(ー) or sometimes even worse than that, such as "メイターD"
