It's that tricky word "Perfil" that gets me almost every time...

Comunican, Having looked at your link and with regards to your note about my answer, it's what I mentioned earlier and the sentence can be turned round, e.g. the sample you've given: "Local tenders for contracts where..., and other local contracts... should be made public on "Contracting Party Profile". Work worth over 50,000 euros... can also be made public here."

Yes, based on the first two examples, I agree with you.
But now with these other examples, I'm thinking that it's a role/position/person... I've seen "perfil" frequently used where I would say "position", "role" or even "job".
But here it is hard to figure out... :S

Hi Margaret and all agreeing. Thank you all for this, but I remain unconvinced - especially given that every reference on Google is for a Spanish website. If I think of a contracting party's profile, I think of a description of what their attributes/features and so on, and this is not the case here. Sorry to be difficult but I want to avoid propogating a "Spanish-ism" that seems to have taken hold. The statement "The contractor profile is the means for publicising municipal tenders for contracts where the estimated value of the work is in excess of 200,000 euros, and other municipal contracts worth more than 60,000 euros" - taken from Barcelona City's website (http://w3.bcn.es/V61/Home/V61HomeLinkPl/0,4358,200713899_200726355_3,00.html) - doesn't ring true to me....
It has taken me a while but I think I finally understand how this works now (my apologies, it has been a long and tedious translation (from a version that was translated in rather a laborious way from Catalan into Spanish)... sigh. So.... it's the Contracting Party's profile page on the website of the company running the tender, where the tenderer manages all its information and where the company running the tender can communicate individually with the tenderer.... That makes sense to me now. Hey, why take the easy route when I can go the long way round! :-)
