FYI spartannee, usually at Proz people keep the discussion going in the actual question instead of private messaging - it's no problem i guess, but it's good for people to be able to discuss and learn from things.

離れている　becomes 離れていよう

so the reason it is いよう is because it comes from a
～ている verb

whereas 流れて行く becomes 流れてい行こう. it's
from the verb 行く, not 行っている, so that's why
