Spanish term
Avezados
Spanish to English
Art/Literary
Poetry & Literature
Tras este estilo de vida alternativo, con dosis de frivolidad y hedonismo, y de sus nuevas lecturas, que funcionan como un código exquisito para avezados, se revela una voluntad de distinción, tal como estudia este término Bourdieu.
Avezado can obviously be translated as 'seasoned' when used as an adjective but how would one translate it when used as a noun?

I think this would work well

seasoned [x]
Perhaps keep the adjective and add a noun? "seasoned" is to me different to "expert" and more inclusive, though this is only my opinion.
"seasoned readers" etc.
A suggestion, but I thought I'd add it as I thought it useful.

old hands
You know, I don't think I'm completely sure what they're talking about here! Is it just the latest things the person has been reading which "funcionan", or the life style as well? Pretty obtuse stuff, and I rather suspect that having more of the text available wouldn't actually improve my understanding!
Anyway, this is the translation that occurred to me immediately, and after some head scratching I still think it might do!

Another possibility that might convey the sense quite well.
