Hola, estoy traduciendo un texto sobre un fármaco y os agradecería que me ayudaseis con el siguiente término: face crushing. Están describiendo eventos adversos serios durante el ensayo y éste es uno de ellos:“a mild transient schemic attack, a nasal cavity cancer, face crushing and syncope”

Un sinónimo (menos frecuente) Rubor facial = rubefacción facial

Acabo de hacer la prueba Esta consulta no aparece al hacer una búsqueda con el término correcto (flushing); sólo aparece al utilizar el término erróneo (crushing).

Las entradas del glosario que contienen errores tipográficos sólo pueden ser útiles para las personas que realicen una búsqueda a partir del mismo término erróneo. Un poco limitado, ¿no?

En mi opinión, no tiene sentido generar entradas con errores tipográficos.

Ya apareció el "pero" de esta cuestión ...como es habitual...
El sentido es que al buscar el término correcto aparece toda esta discusión, no sólo el typo que dio lugar al kudoz sino el término correcto, la explicación de ambas traducciones, popular y culta, etc.

Two errors in the original, "shemic" should be "ischemic", and "crushing" should be "flushing"...my answer wasn't guess work, but looking up the adverse effects of an opioid. If the asker doesn't name the drug involved, what else can we do? The asker needs to go back to the author in that case.

eventos adversos "serios" "a mild transient schemic attack, a nasal cavity cancer, face crushing and syncope”: a schemic attack, a nasal cavity cancer, a syncope are indeed serious, and then you read "face crushing", which would literally mean an implosion of the face, translated as blushing, which is really more embarrassing than anything else, makes no sense to me. Nobody thinks that it could be an error in transcription. To me it is guess work, and unless clarified, I would consider it to be just that.

Enrojecimiento pertenece al lenguaje popular(=reddening). Rubor es un término médico (=flushing)

gracias, pero lo que comentas aquí se contradice con tu respuesta. Enrojecimiento (lenguaje coloquial) y rubor (lenguaje técnico médico) son sinónimos. La diferencia es que pertenecen a diferentes registros (popular Vs científico)pero significan lo mismo

neutral celiacp : Sería enrojecimiento, no enrojamiento, como veo que indicas posteriormente, aunque dicho término pertenece al lenguaje popular, coloquial. En lenguaje médico se habla de "rubor"

Well, I only found two examples of "face crushing" in relation to the drug in question.

So, my bet is that this is incorrect and it should be "flushing"
