German to English Medical Medical (general)

In a medical report, one heading goes "Gesamtfragestellung: PräOp re-Staging (erst re. wird operiert)"

As far as I can make out, the patient had been previously operated the month before the report was written. (I only have one page with very sketchy entries).

Anne Schulz Mar 8, 2012: IMO, "rechts" could make sense also in "II Met. 9 Seg. re zentr." (metastasis centrally in right (lung?) segment #9)
Parrot (asker) Mar 8, 2012: I don't think so Rechts is R as per lymph-node mapping (11R, 4R). From a sample document, I had thought "resection" ("II Met. 9 Seg. re zentr.") but the lowercase doesn't convince me.
Sue Shepherd Mar 8, 2012: Context-wise, could "re." stand for "rechts"? If more than one area is to be examined/operated, then this could simply mean that the right side comes first.
