The Infrahyoid Muscles
These muscles are sometimes called the strap muscles. I think this may be what you are looking for. They are muscles involved in throat functions.

(muscle) straps
because of their shape, some muscles are called 'straps'.
especially in the neck and thighs.
this is not a true 'anatomical' description of a muscle / muscle group and in some cases it is a loose translation from the latin. It does not relate to the names of the muscles / group of muscles, but to their shape / configuration.
The term is often used in a discharge summary or an operative report when the author does not what to detail all the differnet muscles in the neck (which happen to have long names). The term is not usually used in scholarly publications or articles.
