You have a set of n objects and you want to see how many different combinations there are if you take r objects at a time.
E.g. if your set contains the items w, x, y and z and if r = 2, the various combinations are:
wx
wy
wz
xy
xz
yz
For combinations (but NOT for permutations), wx is the same as xw
