Spanish term

carpintería de lo blanco

Spanish to English Art/Literary Architecture 17th century trades
This appears on a list of those involved in 17th century architectural works ("carpintero de lo blanco"). Googling the term, I see a book on it entitled:

Any idea what this is?

structural woodwork

This is the term used in Discovering Islamic Art, a virtual museum project I worked on for Musées Sans Frontières a few years ago.

Definitions

"De fuera" o "de afuera" means, I think, that this kind of carpentry is done outside the workshop, on site.

Thanks, Gilla. The great thing here is to find the right term in English, which I think you have.
