English term

line charge/linear charge

English to German Tech/Engineering Military / Defense clearing charge
From a brochure about a lightweight clearing charge. It is also described as a 'terrain conforming flat line charge', and its physical data mention '34 ft of total linear charge'. I assume both terms mean the same?

Thank you!

On the contrary I think that "flat" refers to the shape (cross section) of the charge - whereas "terrain conforming" is its property to conform to "ups and downs" of a non-flat terrain. otherwise, "flat" would be before "terrain".
Bernd Runge Sep 5, 2012:
