You could say "matured for a year in barrels and then aged in the bottle before..."
'Aged' and 'matured' appear to be used interchangeably:

Term that has multiple meanings but generally refers to a wine that is at least several years old and has been barrel-aged then aged in the bottle as well.

This is definitely the more accurate translation, as Carol says above - it refers to a description of what happens to the wine as it matures. (See links for definitions of a round wine.)
