I think that they're probably trying to say something quite normal but I can't put my finger on what, exactly, they mean. Are they perhaps talking about driving forces and market opportunities? Or am I completely misunderstanding the Spanish here? I have to admit I'm a bit stumped by this phrase. I need your help!

The phrasing does get a little tricky in there, doesn't it?
Agree with Psicutriunius that it's "poetic" introductory bureaucratese.
However, disagree with his interpretation.
I think it's saying those fields start from different places with distinct concrete targets in mind but the ultimate end for all them is contributing to the common goal of ....
Many different paths leading to the same place, that sort of thing.
Think throwing underlying in there would help. And the comma after 'salida' be optional as needed for phrasing the final part.
