Oh, THAT kind of "payslip" I’m sorry. When you said “payslip” I took it to mean this:

noun: a slip of paper included with your pay that records how much money you have earned and how much tax or insurance etc. has been taken out (From dictionary.com)

It seems then that you are referring to what I would call a “receipt.”

No big deal, we all stumble over our regionalisms, its part of the “spice” that makes our work so awesome! (Tomato/Tomahtoe)

If this is truly a “receipt” then perhaps it is some kind of fee to cover some kind of “maintenance,” like to defray the cost of mopping up spillage, I suppose?

Anyway, if I post a second suggestion I might get the KudoZ police on my trail, so I’m just going to wait and see what happens.

I am sure it is mesones Thank you, and I know that that would seem to make a whole lot more sense but I am sure that it is mesón because mesón means bar/pub/tavern it is found on a payslip from a restaurant in Barcelona. Also, I don't think a company would be paying the worker child support...
