French term
périmètre mature
French to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
Hi
The CEO of a manufacturing company is talking about the untapped potential of certain markets, such as India, and how they will develop into major consumers over the next five to ten years. He then says:
"Dans de nombreux pays, nous sommes loins d'avoir tout balisé. Les places sont chères mais nous n'avons pas encore atteint un périmètre mature."
The only occurrence of "périmètre mature" I've found using search engines concerns retirement homes and in English is rendered by "mature facilities".
As always, many thanks!

Or, in this case, not yet fully developed.

fully developed scope
'perimètre' in business-speak is often translated as 'scope'. I think it means that this area of activity is not yet fully developed.
Note from asker:
Thanks - in my draft I have "there is still room to develop" but that leaves me with a problem for "les places sont chères" - isn't room for everyone. "Scope" could be a way round it. |

explored all avenues
With reference to my answer to the previous question, you could perhaps use this here. Or you could use "staked out" here : we haven't yet staked out our territory.
1 hr
saturation level
Hi Sandra, please find my proposal:
... in these markets we are far from reaching their saturation levels.
I tend to go with the first answers, but would maintain more of a sales tonality.
Enjoy
