I was a little unsure whether to post this under law or medicine as I'm actually translating a medical, rather than legal, text but it is the legal terminology that I'm stuck with.
I've got a document about clinical trial protocols, basically it talks about the processes that the ethics committee has to follow when expressing an opinion on a clinical trial.
The part I'm stuck with is:
"Verbale della riunione del Comitato Etico per la Sperimentazione Clinica della Provincia di Padova, nominato con deliberazione n. 1033 del 03 Ottobre 2013 e con Decreto di Convalida della Regione del Veneto n.148 del 24 ottobre 2013, esecutivi ai sensi di legge, tenutasi presso la Sala Riunioni della Direzione Generale il giorno 28 Gennaio 2014, ore 14.00."
I can't work out what "Decreto di Convalida della Regione" means. Something like "ratifying decree" or "decree adopted by the Veneto region"?
What does this mean exactly and how do I express it in English?!

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

is how I'd phrase this
It would be incorrect imho to say "validated in the veneto region"...and capitals are required as well as it's a name.
