Добрый день!
In futures, the sectors are clear. Let's use interest rates and foreign exchange (forex). Whatever markets you use, for each sector, use equal risk on each trade. You can just average the daily profit/loss (PL) figures together within each sector, which means that we're weighting each market equally. When you combine them, you'll see that the risk of each sector will drop according to the amount of diversification. So the interest rates **move together** most of the time and the risk doesn't drop very much, but forex markets are not as similar, so the risk of that sector will drop more.
But I wouldn't ignore all patterns. Personally, I like divergence. If you can find a pattern that works, it will be a great complement to a trend system. It would offer a lot of diversification. I'm a strong believer that you get the most diversification from using different systems rather than different markets. If you remember in 2008 when we had the subprime crisis, all of the markets **moved together**. There was no such thing as diversification. But if you had a pattern program, a trend program, and an arbitrage program, you would have been much safer. That's because each system would be looking for different opportunities, and some of them would even make money. So I favor system diversification over market diversification.

Уточнила бы немного "не развиваться параллельно", здесь лучше
бы "двигаться параллельно".
