Spanish term

casa (no) efectiva

Spanish to English Medical Medical: Health Care Public health interventions - house-to-house monitoring
The definition below speaks for itself. The document is about rapid coverage monitoring, in which a field team goes from house to house to see if the children who live there were vaccinated or received some other public health intervention being monitored. Afterwards the results are tabulated and reported.

I have tentatively opted for 'valid/invalid house', but I couldn't find it online. I'm open to better, more reliable suggestions! Thanks in advance.

Muriel Vasconcellos (asker) Jun 9, 2015:
Thanks for your suggestions I'm leaning toward '(non)applicable' or 'ex-/included'. It has to be house, not household, for the reasons I explained to Mónica. I'm still looking, and if I don't find anything I'll re-open the question and select an answer.
Helena Chavarria Jun 4, 2015:
How about 'not applicable' or 'excluded'?
Muriel Vasconcellos (asker) Jun 4, 2015:
@José Thanks for your query. This is a manual prepared by the World Health Organization for use in all English-speaking countries. It was written by a committee with input from multiple sources. That overall subject of this 51-page module is "Rapid Coverage Monitoring," which is done by field teams going either from house to house or school to school.

Muriel, in my quest to help, it will be very good if you tell us the country the definition is from. Also, sometimes we translators are very loyal to Spanglish, where there is really no need. Have you tried the word Encuesta? Say... Encuesta positiva or Encuesta negativa --- positive or negative survey and you can add home or house at will?
Muriel Vasconcellos (asker) Jun 4, 2015:
More info The houses are numbered on a map. Some are "efectivas" and others are "no efectivas" and the total number of each type of house (not visit) is tabulated. I'm hoping there's already a term for it in public health lingo, but it's hard to search on such general words.

The definition It's in my text. I'm translating the definition as part of a glossary that goes with the document.

@ José She is translating from Spanish to English. I know you asked her but I just want to be helpful. Regards
Fabio M. Caldas Jun 4, 2015:
@ Muriel "(un) Assessed household", how does that sound to you?
José J. Martínez Jun 4, 2015:
Muriel, I can help but are you trying to define or start a definition, and is it EN to SP or SP to EN, I am slightly confused on this.

(Non) applicable household

Hola Muriel.

Saludos,
Belén

Note from asker:
Thanks, Mónica. I like 'applicable'. I do have to use 'house' because these are addresses on the map. The instructions emphasize that multiple families can live in a house and it's still counted as one house. Even an apartment house is considered one house. A non-applicable house would be one in which there was not a single child with proof of vaccination/deworming.

(un) Assessed Household

household that doesn't meet the criteria

The term is defined on the public health criteria
1. There is a child between the ages of 4 and 14 (not a child any more)
2. There is a person who could provide the necessary information.

A house doesn't meet the criteria or meets the criteria:
