Blood Group: 0+ \"ve\"

English to Italian Law/Patents Patents Indian Driving Licence
Hi all, dear peers!!!

I am translating an Indian Driving Licence and am puzzled about the "ve" following the Blood Group. I believe it stands for "vegetarian", as they might be concerned about some practices of blood transfusion. What do You think?

Also, the document lists the vehicle class the holder is allowed to drive: do you know of any link where I can find out what MCWG and LMV stand for?

Personally, I think the person you spoke to doesn't know what he's saying. I know India well and know that this isn't an issue for driving licenses. Look at the links I sent you. There is only provision for the Blood group and the Rh group. And I have never heard of using animal blood in human transfusion, anywhere including India, at least in modern times.

none I compared Your suggestions with an operator at the transfusion center of the Indian Consulate. He said it might be that, if the holder is a vegetarian, she might have asked this information to be reported on the driving license: some transfusion techniques involve the use of animal blood. This does not mean that this was the case, but I asked my Client and he said to report it unchanged: I did so...
I am still tormenting my brain for a confirmation, but I have a deadline for another project, and I must move on. Should I find out something more, I will surely let You know.

I don't think they ask about diets on driving licenses. Even in India. It's just a repitition. They would probaly put O-ve for negative

You need to ask another question about your other terms.
