English term

coded filling up lot according to aerosol guideline

English Other Safety Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Maybe it comes from "Working Database EuPhraC".

Does it mean "the lot filled up should be coded according to aerosol guideline"?

Could anybody help me? Any insight into this would be highly appreciated.

I was just provided with phrases seemingly unconnected with others, without any background/context :)
philgoddard Mar 25, 2016:
Yes, but why are you asking it? Has your text been translated from German? Are you turning the English into another language?
Chinh Chu (asker) Mar 25, 2016:
Thank you for your assistance. But unfortunately, I am not provided anything other than the phrase :)
philgoddard Mar 25, 2016:
I don't fully understand the question or the context, but if you Google this phrase, it takes you here:
http://draft.euphrac.eu/Default.aspx?Language=en&RadGridPhra...
It looks like a bad translation from German to English. The German reads "Kodiertes Abfüll-Los nach Aerosol-Richtlinie", which is "Coded fill batch as per aerosols directive".
Can you explain a bit more about the background to your question, please?

the lot filled up should be coded according to aerosol guideline

"the lot filled up should be coded according to aerosol guideline" -- this is the best meaning that comes from the little context.

coded filling batch in accordance with aerosols directive

I'm not sure where this phrase is from, or how the asker came to be translating it, but it appears to be a bad translation from German. I'm sorry if you don't read German - you'll have to take it from me :-)

If you Google the asker's phrase, the only hit is this one:
http://draft.euphrac.eu/Default.aspx?Language=en&RadGridPhra...

This has a German phrase and an English translation, which is the phrase the asker is looking for. It reads "Kodiertes Abfüll-Los nach Aerosol-Richtlinie", which is "Coded filling batch as per aerosols directive". The aerosols directive is a piece of European legislation.

Article 8 of the directive lists the information which must be printed on all aerosols. Item 8 (c) reads: "code markings enabling the filling batch to be identified".

Sorry if that was a bit complicated, but I'm pretty sure it's what you're looking for.
Peer comment(s):

agree Yvonne Gallagher : at least this looks like English and you have refs.! Why not leave it as officialeese? "code markings enabling the filling batch to be identified"//yes, that's true

Because my version is shorter :-) But thanks for agreeing.
