I'm translating a court report from Spanish into British English in relation to a case of fraud. When discussing the legal grounds for prosecuting the accused, the term in question appears. Please see the full sentence below for context:
'Llévese certificación de la presente a los autos principales y escarcharse el original.'
I'm thinking along the lines of "archive the original", but I'm not 100% sure because the literal translation of 'escarchar' is 'to frost' or 'to crystallise'. Could someone help please?

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

If you stick to the original (and translate: escarcharse....) which in my humble opinion it doesn't make sense, I would suggest to add "sic".

Yes...and this type of mistake is not detected by a spell checker... unless of course the Judge ordered to have the file dipped in frosting ;)
