The intervention group was surveyed before treatment, within one week after treatment, and two weeks after treatment. I would say "decreased between the 1st and the 3rd time the questionnaire was administered". They are comparing symptoms before treatment with symptoms two weeks after treatment and finding a statistically significant difference - P-value less than 0.05
