customer satisfaction survey from a gas supplier
Hi everyone,
I wold really appreciate it if someone could help me with this term.
It comes from a customer satisfaction survey for a gas supplier from Brazil to be translated into UK English.
The question asked was:
"Finally, do you have any additional comments to make regarding your experience with [company]?"
The full answer given was:
So far, I have written:
"I’m just sorry that, on some occasions, we (the condominium) have received invoices and emails, given that the maximum we use is “very occasionally” we get a cylinder to cater for the porters who use a minimum amount (heating lunch or making a coffee).
We do not buy directly but through resellers, just getting the receipt/invoice for that purchase, therefore, nothing can be billed in the name of the condominium, as I’ve been the condominium representative for four years.
Therefore, any sale in the name of the condominium is totally desamparada".
I have found it mean "abandoned" or "unsupported" but these don't seem to make sense in the context.
Any help is greatly appreciated as always.
Kind regards,
Kerryann

Desamparada in this case means it has no "amparo legal" or no substantiation or grounds in the applicable law or statutes.

Not clear from the source text, nor your translation, what exactly is happening here - is the company buying/selling from/to the condominium? Supplying services?

Meaning that it does not have any supporting document / evidence, since the purchase is not made in the Condomínio's name, it is bought externally and no receipt is made out "no nome do condomínio". That is how I understood this...
