Tengo problemas con esta palabra ya que he encontrado diversos equivalentes y no sé cuál utilizar en este contexto.
Se trata de un documento de puntuaciones para anclajes de sutura. La palabra me aparece dos veces, la primera en esta oración:
"If a risk control measure creates a new risk or input, it must be included in the appropiate table and evaluated."
Y la segunda vez que aparece es en una tabla:
User Needs / INPUT / Hazard / Hazard Source / Risk - Pre RCM / Severity Score Pre RCM / Ocurrence Score Pre RCM / ...

En el contexto, si bien es una "aportación", creo que se refiere a "datos aportados" "datos que entran". Se produce un "nuevo riesgo o una entrada de datos (sobre dicho riesgo)" y estos se tienen que incluir en la computadora, en la tabla del instrumento para su evaluación posterior o inmediata.

In fact, in the first sentence, "input" means "entrada de datos", but in the long run your would want a more compact term such as simply "entrada". Don´t worry, throughout the document, it will be clear that "entrada" means "entrada de datos".
In the second sentence, have you wondered why it is capitalized? It seems to be a location within an information system. If so, you may consider leaving it as INPUT (untranslated), unless you have been explicitly instructed to translate these terms. If you need to translate it, just use "ENTRADA". I don´t see the need to use a different translation for the second sentence. In any case, don´t forget to keep the capitalization.
