Oddly, the word "valgus" appears to be misused rather often as a noun instead of an adjective. According to Stedman's Medical Dictionary:
Valgus - Latin adjective describing any joint in an extremity that is deformed such that the more distal of the two bones forming the joint deviates away from the midline, as in knock-knee.

If you have rheumatoid arthritis it's fairly common for your heel to drift outwards. This is known as valgus heel.
