Slovak term

17 rokov, t.č. (here)

Slovak to English Medical Medical (general) Medical - clinical trial
Can anyone help with this please?
In a med. report on someone with Alzheimer's:
Demografia+ sociálna anamnéza
62 ročná,žena, beloška, nie hispánka, nie latino.
Praváčka. Testy sa realizovali v jej rodnom jazyku.
Má VŠ vzdelaňie, ***17 rokov, t.č.***
Nemá žiadne abuzy /alkohol, cigarety, drogy, lieky, iné návykové látky.
I just don't get what the 17 rokov can be referring to. "t.č." is presumably "toho času" but that does not leave me any the wiser.

Discussion

Charles Stanford (asker) Jul 27, 2020:
Thanks Liz, Liz and Jan. Useful input.
Elizabeth Spacilova Jul 27, 2020:
Could it be that the "t.č." relates to the next line - currently no substance use?

years of education - Slovak translation – Lingueewww.linguee.com › english-slovak › years+of+education

17 years of education - a very, very wild guess
Jan Ramza Jul 27, 2020:
It looks like some information is missing after "t.č." (tohto času - at the present time). If "t.č." was followed by "17 rokov", and not the other way round, it could mean that she has had university education for 17 years, i.e. that she finished her university studies when she was 45. But pieces of information often get mixed up in medical reports, so this could be one option.

myslí na betón že toho času (=t.č.), teda "teraz", teda v súčanosti

Very easy Charles, the word "currently" refers to the line below starting with "Nemá žiadne abuzy...."
"17 rokov" is just a beginning of an unfinished sentence and as such does not mean anything concrete yet.
Only the author knows what he was about to write there (if he did not forget the idea in a meantime. :-))

Example sentence:

toho času (skratka t. č.) a) teraz, nateraz; b) vtedy, v tom čase; dlhý čas dlho; toľký čas tak dlho;

Note from asker:
But she is 62 years old Juro. I don't see how that makes sense
Something went wrong...
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Juro. I knew about the t.c. but am pleased that the 17 rokov did not make sense to you either "
