Italian term

legge che svolgono una rilevante attivita di interesse sociale

Italian to English Bus/Financial Law: Taxation & Customs Certificazione unica form
This is a field under a selection of potential charitable organisations or beneficiaries for donation, as an alternative to state tax payments.

Sostegno alle associazioni sportive dilettantistiche riconosciute ai fini sportive dal coni a norma di legge che svolgono una rilevante attivita di interesse sociale

I understand the gist, but I am a bit unsure on the idea of "svolgono " in this context.

Discussion

Lara Barnett (asker) Oct 20, 2020:
Comma - (@ Phil) What I meant is that I did not realise, until Lisa Explained, that the word "legge" belongs to the previous clause. As this does not relate to the following clause either we would, in English, have separated this idea with parenthesizing commas, ie. I have now put:
"Supporting “coni” approved (...) amateur sports associations, pursuant to law, that play a significant role in the community.

well it would depend on how you phrase the first bit but I guess so
Note from asker:
So it should be comma before and after right? " , a norma di legge , che..."

agree philgoddard : No, I don't think there should be commas.

1 day 2 hrs

the activities of which are for the benefit of the community

smart way of getting away from explicitly translating svolgono, although it probably just means "conducting" activities or "involved in" activities here.

can also simply be "whose activities benefit the community"
