French term

clavetage osseux

French to English Medical Medical: Dentistry dental implants

The usual translation of clavetage seems to be "keying" or "wedging": does anyone know if there is a standard translation in the dental context?

Thanks everyone. No I couldn't find keying either on dental sites. I think the company use embedding but I'm not sure that is the best solution.

I have found "locking" for "clavetage".
liz askew Jan 14, 2021:
Trouble is "keying" doesn't figure on any sites re dental implants - that I can find.
philgoddard Jan 14, 2021:
Keying does make sense, as in sticking or becoming wedged in place.

This term has been posted here in the past though from the opposite linguistic direction, and "wedging" was the term used.
