One definition of pantalla is "baffle" - a structure for blocking wind or sound. This is also part of construction terminology. But the "baffle" definition doesn't fit with "cajón" so I reject that idea.

From this definition the take-away is that it's a type of foundation that utilizes piling (pilote). For me the main part that I key in on above is that pantallas are similar to "tablestacas." The English translation of "tablestacas" is "sheet pile." This is a compound word that's pretty easy to parse. "Tabla" ( slab or sheet) and "estaca" (stake or peg - like piling!)

The term "caisson piling" can be used, or just caisson. Caisson is a type of foundation constructed by means of a drilled shaft that is then filled with concrete or another material and pilings (or rebar). Another term for it is "Bored Pile."

I would also explore "end-bearing pile."

Note that I'm not suggesting that "pantalla" means "piling." I'm just saying that in the context of what a caisson/cajón is, and what a "pantalla" is by the definition above, I assume that "cajón pantalla" is referring to bored pile or cast-in-place pile. I can't find a direct equivalent for "pantalla" in this context that gives me much confidence.
