English term
Antinapping
English to French
Science
Environment & Ecology
Grass
Source text is "Enable Antinapping"
The context is, they are small mobile robots used for, among other things, spraying paint on asphalt.
When asked to clarify the term, the client responded with this information:
Antinapping is a tool to counteract the nap of grass.
The nap of grass is the same concept as the nap of fur, i.e. the direction of the straws of grass.
E.g. A modern car has Antispin, which counteracts the spin of the wheels.
I've found very little online -- granddictionnaire suggests "grain" (related to leather industry) and IATE suggests "poil" -- neither seems appropriate for grass and I wouldn't be sure about adding "anti" either...
Looking for help from my trusted colleagues, merci!

J'ai trouvé ces trois expressions pour le gazon synthétique. Elles me paraissent toutes synonymes.

Discussion
The client provided an even further explanation here:
Napping causes the robots to literally get pushed by the grass which has been cut in alternating patterns, leaving the grass straws pointing first one way, then the other. This can have a significant impact on the quality of the line marking. We have now added a feature to counter this issue, which we call Antinapping
Finally I decided on « Gestion du grain de l’herbe (antinapping) » to render the idea.
