World Music Rotations.
Each year the school hires a set of instruments from a non‐western musical culture on a three‐year rotation. Students in Years 7 and 8 spend half a term learning to play and compose on these instruments as well as learning about the cultures they come from. Year 9 use these instruments and cultures as the basis for piece of electronic ‘fusion’ music. The musical cultures studied are Brazilian Samba, Indonesian Gamelan and Caribbean Steel Pans
