This line appears (followed by an amount) on a Spanish payroll receipt. I have found this explanation, but I do not know how to express it in English.
La función del concepto «A cuenta Convenio» es adelantar en las pagas mensuales cantidades a razón de los atrasos, por lo tanto infórmelo en las fichas de los trabajadores y calcule sus nóminas.

A cuenta convenio es un adelanto que te dan sobre la subida salarial. Normalmente se aplica un porcentaje sobre los conceptos de convenio (salario base, antiguedad, pluses), generalmente el ipc estimado para ese año o la subida pactada en el convenio.
The translation given in Proz.com for A cuenta convenio speaks of a deduction, but in this payroll sheet, it is added on to the salary. It is in the "Devengos" section.
