Spanish term

dar de baja instalaciones

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting Informe fiscal

To decommission , to write off sería posible en este contexto?

Gracias!

write off facilities

A write-down reduces the value of an asset for tax and accounting purposes, but the asset still remains some value. A write-off negates all present and future value of an asset. It reduces its value to zero.
Peer comment(s):

agree Wilsonn Perez Reyes : en otro contexto sería: terminate the facilities.

Gracias!
agree ezpz : "write off plant and equipment at book value".

to put facilities out od order

The said facilities are put out of order because sinisters have hampered their effectiveness
Peer comment(s):

disagree Giovanni Rengifo : This isn't the accounting term of art for "dar de baja." Besides, please note that "sinister" and "installations" are false cognates here.

I disagree! Tangible assets can be written off! But installations are put out of order, The distinction is that installations aren't an accounting concept.
disagree Andy Watkinson : The installations/facilities aren't a "tangible asset"?

neutral Luis M. Sosa : But how we reconcile with the fact that the questions is on accounting, as chosen by the asker.
