English term

lure

English Medical Medical (general) Medical Devices
"Insert the lure connected to the endoscope into the entrance of the endoscope working channel and then turn it."

Now, what does that mean? There's no such "lure" in medical terminology, and it's never used with the word "endoscope" in any text.
What is it for?

It does get some hits... ... as "lure lock" or "lure connector", as in paragraph 4.4 here:

Note from asker:
Could be. I've written to the owner of the source text about it. I'm waiting. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll return when I get a response. Best regards.

agree El Mehdi Hakkou : It is definitely a typo for "luer lock" or "luer" for short.
