Non-PRO German to English Bus/Financial Tourism & Travel hotels

Discussion

Ramey Rieger (X) Jun 25, 2017:
Hi Raj yes, there is definitely something missing, I believe. First, HOW does he/she find the new option and should, would, could the there be a stipulation. Odd. Good luck! I'll guess you'll just have to wing it, or derive the meaning from the rest of the context.
Raj Sethi (asker) Jun 24, 2017:
Hii Ramey, sorry for replying late and thanks for the message. This is what I am confused about. It just doesn't make sense to me. The problem is that I am not able to interact with the customer. Besides I'm not sure where this option exists or if it is a suggestion. I keep having this feeling - I don't know why - that the source is missing something here. What do you think?
Ramey Rieger (X) Jun 24, 2017:
Hi Raj! Does this option exist? Or is it a suggestion? Which would then require 'fände.' Somehow I'm missing a verb.
The new option for one person to book a double room SHOULD also (logically) include the stipulation/make clear that only one person requires breakfast.

"PS: By the way, I like the new option that when you book a double room for one person, you can now also select that breakfast is only needed for one person."

I added "like" at the beginning because without that (or something else) you are left with a fragment, not a sentence. In other words, something is missing in your sentence. Without that, that sentence makes no sense.

Or simplify that sentence even further:

"..you can now also select breakfast for one person only.."

Thanks Michael as always.

to determine

It's pretty straightforward, '' festzulegen, dass man auch nur für eine Person das Frühstück benötigt.'' - to determine/confirm that breakfast required for one person only.

stipulate

Übrigens finde ich die neue Möglichkeit bei einer Buchung eines DZ für eine Person, festzulegen, dass man auch nur für eine Person das Frühstück benötigt.

In addition/What's more, I feel/find/think that the need for stipulating breakfast for one in this new option for booking a double room for one person/a single occupant is inapproriate.

Confirm.

The writer was either happy or unhappy (this is unclear) that the hotel confirmed whether a single occupancy (two bed) room also meant that only one person would be eating breakfast the next morning.

should also provide for only one person requiring breakfast

This will shed light on the issue and the faulty German:
