Discussion

Emily Marcuccilli (X) May 19, 2013:
Thanks Charles! You confirm what I suspected about *tutoring*. Academic support does seem to fit.
Charles Davis May 19, 2013:
Academic support is the term. Tutoring was chosen in the previous question, and maybe it was right for that context, but it's really only one part of reforzamiento escolar, which mainly consists of extra classes. The general term in the US is academic support.

*reforzamiento escolar* appears to mean *tutoring*, i.e. supplementary classes that build on the core teaching, but this wouldn't seem to fit here as this will be incorporated into lessons, unless we are talking about a course of after-school sessions perhaps? If not, then perhaps *academic support*?

the special education of/remedial classes in

Propongo esta alternativa: "To adapt the Applications Guide to the 9th and 10th grade syllabi (for the special education of/for remedial classes in) Spanish, Math and Technical/Vocational Training."

"reforzamiento escolar"
