Spanish term
FK
Spanish to English
Medical
Medical (general)
nephrology - kidney disease
This is from a report on a patient with severe kidney failure with problems following the kidney transplant. Here they are talking about treatment provided:
Se inicia tratamiento segun esquema... con corticoides, conversión de FK a CsA, y PF desde [fecha].
Cosnautas shows only one possibility for FK, which I don't think applies.
What is FK in this context (it must be a medication), and how do we say it in English?
Mil gracias!

Note from asker:
Thank you Eileen. I did not even think to look in my own glossary, which says for FK: also may be abbr. for tacrolimus. And now I've done some more looking and confirmed this. |
It seems that "tacrolimus" is correct, so why change it? If we really do want to change our suggestion, we can just add it as a note, but I don't think that's needed here. Thanks again. |
