Danish term

fravær

Homework / test Danish to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Not as easy as it looks. I've tried the dictionary and now I would like something better than what they suggest! I want to use the word as a concept. E.g. 'Fravær is very important in life because...etc.'

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Dec 10, 2004:
clarification OK. Perhaps I should have said 'fravr' and 'nrvr' (please see other Kudoz questions) as a state of mind / a way of being. So 'nrvr' as in being really engaged in what you're doing. 'Fravr' as in your mind is wandering. But I'm really hoping someone can hit this sense with something much more catchy than what I've managed to come up with ;-)
