there are only two options: either/or

"There are only two options" would make good sense on its own, but if the original includes "или или", why not include the equivalent in the translation?

Предложенные выше варианты могут лучше подойти, в зависимости от смысла слова "вариант" в Вашем тексте. Options - наиболее общий, подходит.

There are only two options, it's one of those "one way or the other" situations

An attempt at capturing the colloquial flavor. Otherwise, I agree with all the other responders, including everything proposed by Mikhail.
