Thank you!
This was a hard one, and on some level everyone here should get points, but I think this is what the customer is trying to get across and I just like it!

I recently had a high-tech body analyis scale description and used this type of description. If it is a spoke text it may be better to refer to the design, as you aren't referring to needs or cravings, but the style/design trend of the product.

neutral  BrigitteHilgner: I don't think the comment refers to the design. The display is easy to read and the whole thing easy to handle - a question of convenience.

Explanation:
I am just working on my first cup of coffee...maybe I will think of something better later. I like modern in this context, but failed to come up with a phrase, which I would have preferred

Maybe I'm going a bit too far - but I get the impression that convenience is the main focus.

im trend unserer zeit
In trend with our times

Explanation:
I don't think that in this case one needs to change what the original is saying. You could say in fashion with our times or in mode with our times. But why change it?

neutral  Francis Lee (X): Sounds like Denglish to me: "In trend with"?/ "in trend with" is indeed not unusual usage: it's simply not used at all
49 mins
-> Well, trend means a general tendancy or direction; a fashion mode. I don't think that "in trend with" is unusual usage.

agree  Kcda: "in line with the trends of our times" could be a good version too.
3 hrs
-> That's good kcda why don't you enter it as a suggestion. In line with the trends of today. Another suggestion

disagree  Stuart Dykes: I agree with Francis
7 days
-> I may be wrong about unusual usage. A lot of leeway is given in advertising. show me the rule please. check this:http://www.reflectionsedge.com/archives/jun2006/unepucwc_jw....

disagree  MrsHoward: i think it sounds awkward "in trend with" - never heard that usage before
8 days
-> Actually I agree with Francis. its Denglish but I'm enjoying the arguement. So why does the fact that you never heard it before make it wrong? Isn't it a matter of style?

reflecting the latest in contemporary design

Explanation:
This build's on Sarah's idea, which is good. Trendy always has negative connotations for me, though!
