anonymous foster care Explanation: Literally: anonymous accommodation I, too, am unfamiliar with the term in German, but in AE one can use the term "safe house" as a place for women and/or children seeking shelter from abusive family situations (there are other nuances for this usage as well). When a child is removed and placed with a family or institution, one says they are in foster care --what you are describing could be "anonymous foster care".
