Forse è meglio fare riferimento esplicito alla presenza di un battitore, visto che "batting" prevede sempre l'uso di una mazza (da baseball, cricket, etc.). Un altra alternativa sarebbe 'Nei giochi come il baseball ed il cricket', semplifica un po' la frase originale in inglese, ma è più facile da capire
