I looked around wildly, disorientes, expecting an attack drom someone, from somewhere. I rolled over and clutched the beach, trying to present a smaller target, and was momentarily blinded by the sun.

Miré a mi alrededor frenéticamente, desorientada, esperando que alguien me atacara desde algún sitio. Me giré y me puse boca abajo en la playa, intentando ser un objetivo más pequeño, y por un momento el sol cegó mis ojos.

Creo que es mejor traducirlo de otra forma y no tan literal... yo me imagino tirándome a la arena y quedándome pegada al suelo...
