Turn something into an advantage Explanation: I confirm your idea that it's to "learn from experience". I think they are using "capitalisation" as the English term "to capitalize from a situation" intransitive verb : to gain by turning something to advantage : profit <capitalize on an opponent's mistake> Hope that helps your state of flummox!
