Gdy chcę zaoferować komuś połowę mojego ciasta (kawałka na talerzu) to mówię "moitie de mon gateau" czy "demi de mon gateau"? Zastosowawszy 1szy zwrot spotkałam się z dziwną reakcją. Czy jest niepoprawny?

Proszę o wyjaśnienie.

"La demi de" doesn't sound good in French.
Perhaps was the reaction about the fact that you offer "half of the cake"?
