Trovo da molte fonti la traduzione in "mutuatario", ma mi suona un po' troppo legato ai soldi come termine. Si può utilizzare anche se si riferisce ad oggetti (opere d'arte)? Ho trovato anche "ricevente" come possibilità, ma mi sembra forse poco tecnico.

aggiungo questo link dove il "borrower" viene menzionato come "Ente richiedente". Tra le soluzioni da me suggerite, forse questa è quella che preferisco.
