همه ما قاطر به عنوان دختر میخواهیم، مگه نه؟ Explanation: In English mules are known for being strong, stubborn, and stupid. In the previous sentence where D says "she is as strong as a mule" Florence takes the comparison and turns it around to ridicule D by saying "Ah yes, we all want mules for daughters, don't we?". I think it is necessary to use قاطر in both situations, otherwise the image and the sarcasm is completely lost. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 hrs (2015-12-07 02:05:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- we really should not translate this as (همه ما دخترانی می خواهیم چون / مثل قاطر (نیرومند This gives a positive connotation to the sentence "Ah yes, we all want mules for daughters, don't we?" The speaker (Florence, I think) is ridiculing D's comment about the girl being as strong as a mule. She is being sarcastic and means we don't want stubborn and stupid daughters (like mules).
