The secular shift towards warehouses closer to population centres remains intact. Therefore, during the year, we added to our XX exposure in the US and in the UK we initiated a position in YY.
YY owns a substantial portfolio of warehouses, two-thirds of which is located in and around London and the Midlands. Both areas are seeing strong demand and solid rental growth. During the quarter we inspected its Heathrow assets, where YY has a leading market share within and near the airport boundary. Outside the UK, the remainder of the portfolio is located in Continental Europe.

Pre engineered buildings are factory-built buildings of steel that are shipped to site and bolted together. ... This style of construction is ideally suited to industrial buildings and warehouses; it is cheap, very fast to erect, and can also be dismantled and moved to another site ... These structures are sometimes called 'metal boxes' or 'tin sheds' by laymen - they are essentially rectangular boxes enclosed in a skin of corrugated metal sheeting.

Concrete benefits of tin sheds
With one in five warehouses in England expected to have a major fire every year, the UK’s preponderance for the ubiquitous lightweight steel shed over the innate fire resistance of concrete construction must be questioned believes Steve Elliott, Chairman of the British Association of Reinforcement.

Big boxes are the next growth story
... ‘big box’ distribution centres
According to commercial property agents JLL the demand for big boxes — those huge tin sheds you see alongside motorways — increased by 18 per cent in the first half of this year
If you want prime national tenants, your shed is best sited in Big Box Land.

Investment /Unternehmenshintergrund

Vielen Dank! Genau darum scheint es zu gehen. Auf Deutsch dann wohl "Leichtbauhallen". |
